An Alternative to the Normal Memorial Day Outfit

This outfit post is an alternative to the normal Memorial Day outfit. While it isn’t far away from the typical colors worn on Memorial Day, it is: red, white, and gray.

So why red, white, and gray?

Everyone will be wearing red, white, and blue. Literally everyone. So why not change up that third color? You won’t look too out of place because you’ll still be wearing red and white! But the gray will subtly set you apart.

H&M Camisole

Back to basics we go. A white camisole is a must-have in your closest and it’s sad that I’m barely realizing this! Camisole’s in general can be worn underneath so many different pieces and help create so many different outfits! A white camisole is even more needed than most colors because it is so versatile. I bought this camisole at H&M and knew it was going to be a staple in my closet. This white camisole is perfect for a Memorial Day outfit because we all know that here in Texas, it is going to be sunny and HOT!

The first camisole linked below is the actual one I’m wearing in the pictures above, but the following ones are other options:

H&M Scalloped Shorts

Y’all, I have been looking everywhere for some shorts like these! Honestly, I wasn’t thinking of a Memorial Day outfit when I bought these. I only knew I wanted to wear them with a white camisole. I had been crushing on pin stripes, scalloped hems, and bows for the longest! It was practically love at first sight with these shorts once I saw them and knew I had to have them!

After thinking about how Memorial Day Outfits were going to be needed for the end of this week, I started thinking how changing up the blue to gray would be perfect. Like I mentioned above, you don’t want to totally blend in with everyone and these shorts are perfect for that!

Just in case you wanted to go with the usual red, white, and blue outfit, I linked some blue scalloped shorts below. I also threw in some black shorts because I think they’ll look just as cute too!

Gianni Bini Keelin Lace Up Sandals

Once again, these adorable block-heels make their way onto my blog. If you don’t recognize them and need a refresher, they were last seen in this post.

I have raved on and on (on my Instagram), about how comfortable these Gianni Bini sandals are! And I am not joking! They are surprisingly the most comfortable heels I own. They have extra cushion in the soles of the shoe that make them easy to wear for hours!

I knew these Gianni Bini sandals had to be worn with my Memorial Day outfit because they’re the PERFECT shade of red! They definitely give the entire outfit the perfect pop of color!

To shop the exact sandals I wore with this outfit, click here (they’re on sale for less than $60)! Otherwise, I linked similar red sandals below:

Unfortunately, I actually work all weekend so I will be sporting scrubs instead of this adorable Memorial Day outfit. But thankfully, the outfit can also easily be converted to an every day outfit because it doesn’t contain the usual red, white, and blue! So you just might see me walking in Dallas with this outfit on, not on Memorial Day!

So what are your plans for Memorial Day? Leave a comment letting me know your plans so that I can live vicariously through you this weekend! 🙂

Much Love,

Stevie
